The Oak Ridge Boys are a country and christianity band that first formed in 1945. They were originally known as the Oak Ridge Quartet, but as their favor steadily grew they changed their name to the Oak Ridge Boys in the timely 1960s. The current members of the Boys are Duane Allen, William Lee Golden, Joe Bonsall and Richard Sterban.
They initially were thought of as a gospel band and today multiplied of their songs do reflect that style, although over the years they regularly changed their style and sound to more of a mix between country and protection.
